This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information (e.g., name, address, email address, etc.) is collected, used and shared when you visit or make a purchase from YvonneMaloneStudio.com (hereinafter referred to as the “Site”, “we, or Yvonne Malone Studio), subscribe to our mailing list, and/or comment on a blog post.

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you visit our site and register for a class, make a purchase, subscribe to our mailing list or interact with the Site, we collect the information you provide.

This information allows us to ship an order, answer questions, etc. We use that information, too, to improve the user experience on our Site and develop new product offerings, classes, and other marketing initiatives.

We collect information about our users several ways as described in the paragraphs below.

Directly from users using the “contact” form on our website, including name and email address.

Please do not submit any confidential or proprietary information such as a credit card number, when submitting the “contact” form. Our contact forms are created and implemented using Divi/Elegant Themes. (Submit payment information only when prompted via our shopping cart feature or when other arrangements have been made in advance with Yvonne Malone Studio.)

Directly from users leaving a comment on a blog post if this feature is enabled on the Site.

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also call a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

We use MailChimp to send out our newsletter and other information about our products, upcoming classes, and other information we feel our subscriber community may be interested in. We may track information about your visit and retain that information in web server logs to help us make changes to the website in the future to that the user’s experience can be improved and to protect the website and its content from inappropriate use. ASKIMET SPAM PROTECTION

We collect information about visitors who comment on the Site that use our Akismet anti-spam service. The information we collect depends on how the User sets up Akismet for the Site, but typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).

This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instaded of holding them in a moderation queue. Only employees and team members who need the information to perform a specific job are given access to information provided by users (e.g., name and shipping address to ship a package).
